At HOLT we provide full space planning services that translate detailed facility space programs into functional creative environments that promote higher education. Certain themes resonate across much of our recent higher education work. Among these are collaborative learning spaces, informal areas that extend learning beyond the classroom, the critical role of technology, planned flexibility, and the opportunity that sustainability brings to lower operating costs and improve the quality of the campus environment.

 

We assist higher education institutions prepare new campus master plans and update existing ones. Public image, vehicular and pedestrian circulation, open green space, key campus views, campus infrastructure, future building sites, and sustainable land use are commonly used ingredients. By nurturing broad campus consensus through interviews and open forums we give these plans depth and longevity.
