Sigma Chi Fraternity
Cornell University
Originally built for silent-movie star Irene Castle in 1918, the mansion, which is now home to Cornell University's Sigma Chi fraternity, was in need of updating.

The scope of the renovation project would address several decades of deferred maintenance including compliance with state health and safety regulation, modernizing utilities, improving energy efficiency, and improve the aesthetics of the property.

Maintaining the historic character of this splendid structure was an important part of this project, and vintage architectural details such as lighting fixtures and molding have been restored or refurbished to their original beauty.
