At Ithaca College, ongoing master planning has allowed projects to be implemented in a phased approach, and meet needs for growth while maximizing site utilization.
The 2010 Master Plan analyzes all college land holdings, identifies future academic and residential building sites, creates a new formal entrance to the college, identifies sites for athletic facilities and develops circulation and landscape proposals. The design intentions of the master plan combine organizational themes of a traditional campus quadrangle while responding to the strong site factors that include topography, vegetation, and views.
