A. Quay Thompson promoted to Principal Associate

Quay Thompson is a 1996 graduate of Cornell University's College of Architecture, Art,
and Planning, and joined the firm in 2005. Mr. Thompson was promoted to Associate in
2007 and his experience in sustainable building and interest in business bring a unique and
innovative approach to project management and design. In Quay's 5 years with HOLT he
has led the design and construction of over $50 million dollars of very successful projects in
the higher education market. Through communication, consensus building, and a strong
dedication to the visions and goals of his clients, Mr. Thompson consistently leads teams to
discover unique and appropriate solutions to challenging architectural projects. His recent
projects include the LEED Platinum certified Peggy Ryan Williams Center at Ithaca
College, the LEED Gold registered Educational Opportunity Center for the University at
Buffalo, and the LEED Gold certified Classroom Addition Project at Ithaca College. Quay is a
registered Architect in the State of New York, a LEED Accredited Professional, a member
of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and an active member of the New York
Upstate Chapter of the United States Green Building Council.
