Farm Sanctuary Ribbon Cutting Celebration
May 7, 2012 -
The Farm Sanctuary celebrated its opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for their newest facility, the Melrose Small Animal Hospital. The Farm Sanctuary, located on 175 acres in Watkins Glen, NY, is a national organization dedicated to the rescue and advocacy of abused and neglected farm animals.
Through a generous leadership gift provided by the Melrose family the new 3,600 square foot building will allow the Sanctuary to provide life-saving care to animals in need without having to transport them potentially exacerbating their injury or trauma. The facility provides staff the ability to provide emergency care in a state-of-the-art exam room and several rehabilitation suites. The new hospital also features viewing areas and video capture so that the public and veterinary professionals may benefit from the life-saving care that is provided
The Melrose Small Animal Hospital will serve as a new symbol for the future of Farm Sanctuary, one that recognizes its roots while looking forward to enhanced service of mission.
