Ambulatory Procedures Unit

The top floor suite is located between the main OR suite/catheterization lab and a spacious intake waiting room for ambulatory patients. The complex includes an internal endoscopy suite with three procedure rooms. The central nursing station was ergonomically designed with dual sided counters to support nurse activity on the inside and physician interface on the outside. This approach fosters improved critical communication between physicians and support staff who track patients before and after procedures. Day lighting from four large skylights floods the suite in soft top light and facilitates improved patient orientation following sedated procedures. The high ceilings, indirect lighting and soft color palette with coordinated fabrics create a non-clinical environment that supports staff productivity and better patient recovery.
