The 5-story, L-shaped building wraps around a corner block, maintaining the west façade of a burned-out building on the north and creating a new, harmonious appearance for the south façade. The AIA jury applauded the design for showing "...considerable sensitivity to the urban context, admirable humility in designing an infill, and a great deal of thought about how one can respond to a local tradition without mimicking it."
