79,000 square feet

Academics, Awards, Planning

Named in honor of a former Ithaca College Board Chairman and media magnate, the 79,000 square foot Roy H. Park School of Communications is home to the Departments of Television and Radio, Cinema, Photography, and Media Arts, Journalism, Strategic Communication, and Technical Operations.

The 3-story building is organized around a central core of sound-isolated spaces for television studios and control rooms, audio production facilities, and a soundstage. Production facilities occupy the lower level, with classrooms and laboratories on the main level, and faculty office on the upper floor. A reception space on the main level has gently curving glass walls that take in the sweeping panorama of the Cayuga Lake valley and surrounding hills.
