First Heritage Federal Credit Union Headquarters Building
First Heritage Federal Credit Union | Corning NY
HOLT worked with First Heritage Federal Credit Union to design/build (with Purcell Construction) a new corporate headquarters building in Corning, NY. The 27,680sf building offers the members and employees a welcoming, modern, future-oriented, and flexible new facility. As visitors enter the main entrance they walk through and experience the lobby/gallery space – a spacious, 2-story banking hall that glows from the outside like a beacon as daylight wains.
Universal tellers are in offices with glass walls for full transparency so when a member enters the space staff can see them immediately and help them in the main banking hall, which feels like a lounge. Strong branding is expressed on the interior with diagonal forms that help with wayfinding to services, and colors and materials all work harmoniously together to support the credit union’s brand throughout the building. The integration of staff and local community involvement in the building design and in the artwork to be showcased in the gallery celebrates this geographic region renown for the arts.
“Our partnership with HOLT Architects from beginning to end was truly amazing. From conceptual ideas to the finished project, their consultation and collaboration throughout the project played a major role in the tremendous success of the completed project. I always admired that they never forced their ideas on us. They spent countless hours working with us to get to what our vision was. I could not be any more pleased with our relationship with HOLT and would highly recommend them”. Thomas J. Pisano, President/CEO, First Heritage Federal Credit Union

“ The building is amazing. Your guidance (much appreciated) on design aspects was spot on. We have gotten so many compliments on the exterior appearance, and I think we will get the same from the interior perspective.” Jeff Walseman, Project Manager, Purcell Construction Corporation
