Peggy Ryan Williams Center
Ithaca College | Ithaca, NY
Ithaca College’s 58,000sf LEED Platinum gateway building – the Peggy Ryan Williams Center, provides the prospective student with a first impression of Ithaca College and is the portal through which the campus experience begins.
The building’s experiential design creates great energy and vitality by integrating functions for both prospective and current students and fostering the movement of people into, around, and through the spaces as they arrive, assemble, and depart for their tours of the campus.
The building houses enrollment planning, admissions, graduate studies, human resources and executive administration. Views of the lake, the landscape, and the campus can be glimpsed through the many windows throughout the building.
In addition to being LEED Platinum Certified, the Peggy Ryan Williams Center is recognized by the Environmental Protection Agency as an ENERGY STAR qualified facility – it meets strict energy performance standards set by EPA, uses less energy, is less expensive to operate, and causes fewer greenhouse gas emissions than its peers.
