Inpatient Addition & Renovation for Outpatient Services

Schuyler Hospital

Schuyler Hospital’s transformative project underscores the depth that which patient needs are changing and the importance that facilities continue to adapt.

A new 13,000sf Inpatient Medical/Surgical Unit addition offers patients a pleasant healing environment, larger private rooms, and improved monitoring via two nurse stations. The stations offer more direct access to patients and are joined by a central provider documentation room for provider and nursing collaboration. The unit offers maximum flexibility by blurring the line between the Emergency Department, Observation Unit, and Inpatient Unit.

A separate renovation transforms 9,500sf in the main hospital into outpatient services that include an 18-room, technology-rich, Primary and Specialty Care Clinic with a dedicated counseling room, and telemedicine services to help expand care coverage. Bringing the Clinic into the hospital gives patients direct access to testing and specialty services with coordinated care.
