Reisman Hall

Cazenovia College selected HOLT Architects to create Reisman Hall, a new art and design building to provide state-of-the-art facilities for their growing Arts division, and to aid in attracting high-caliber students.

Reisman Hall is a 24,000sf landmark building located at the entrance to the Cazenovia College campus. Inside of this 2-story structure are highly functional and state-of-the-art interior design, graphic design, photography and art studios that work together to form one of the College’s premier academic programs.

Interior design and architectural elements create great energy, connect and integrate the studio spaces, and allow the art and design program to come alive. Vibrant colors and a dramatic 2-story sky-lit atrium ties the building together vertically while the main corridor along the side of the atrium at each floor connects the spaces within.

The new building, situated in Cazenovia Village’s Historic District, complements the existing historic architectural fabric. The architecture of the college is reflected in an exterior of red brick highlighted with stone accents, while the scale and mass of the building take clues from the neighboring 19th century architecture. In its location between the village and campus, it serves as a bridge between the Cazenovia and the college communities.
