Homer Family Practice

HOLT Architects partnered with Family Health Network, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), to design a new outpatient primary care medical office building in Homer, New York. The facility was developed to support a diverse patient population, with a focus on pediatric and obstetric care, and includes 18 exam rooms to meet growing community needs.

The building was designed to meet Article 28 standards, raising the quality of care for residents in this historically underserved region. Every element of the design was approached with the goal of creating a welcoming, patient-centered experience.

Drawing inspiration from the original administrative office building on the site, the design reinterprets its familiar forms through a modern lens. The materials and massing were carefully selected to be approachable and non-institutional, resulting in a facility that feels both rooted in the local context and forward-looking in its delivery of care.
